Please join us for this unique World Fusion Concert in support of the building of the India Cultural Center of Utah.
Aashish and his family were visited by the Beatles in the 1960s resulting in a great fusion of Eastern and Western music, eventually earning Aashish India's highest music award.
"You will hear gorgeous sounds of the classical Indian sarode, with special percussion directed by tabla master George Grant of "Drum Talk", including William Moran on ghatam (clay pot) and Salt Lake's own Latin percussionist, Ricardo Romero. Collaborative musical arrangements and a complete palate of keyboard / piano sounds are provided by Alan Bachman of "Desert Wind." Award winning flutist Andalin Bachman will echo and compliment the melodic lines of Aashish's sarode with the soothing sounds and harmonies of bass flute, alto flute and "C" flute."
